As partners in business, Jeff Scrabeck and John Hartsell bring very different backgrounds to the Cannabis Industry through their company DIZPOT. Their focus now is entirely on Cannabis brand development and packaging material production.
In his years as a head shop owner and distributor of glass and electronics such as batteries and atomizers, Jeff brings decades of brand experience and a strong procurement background. Hartsell is a lifelong entrepreneur with a marketing background. His companies have worked with some of the World’s largest brands such as YUM! Brands, WalMart, and Harkins Theaters among others. It is through their team approach to brand design and procurement that Jeff and Hartsell will share best practices which consider compliance, products, speed-to-market, freshness, production expectations, and consumer experience.
In today’s burgeoning Cannabis Industry, brand development and consumer experience are two vital components to scaling your brand successfully into the marketplace. You may have a brand in mind or a brand that is already designed and in the market. That’s great! There’s no better time than now to shift or improve to meet market expectations. Sometimes brands are designed with only marketing in mind and the mark is missed on product freshness and consumer experience. In this session, participants will learn best practices for compliance, products, speed-to-market, freshness, production expectations, and consumer experience.
Additionally, participants will learn methods for brand design/development, domestic procurement, and overseas procurement. The presenter will share case studies of actual packages which were designed from scratch and procured across disparate suppliers and packaging mediums. During this session, samples of packaging and ordering guides will be used to have an interactive session where participants can get direction on their own challenges.
