Session Abstract

The Cannabis Industry is one of the most highly regulated industries in the world which can present many challenges when developing, opening, and operating a successful cannabusiness. MJ Freeway’s Director of Consulting Services Sales will walk you through what you need to know to plan for a profitable cannabusiness. During her presentation, you’ll learn strategies needed for permitting, planning for early stages of development and objectives required to develop a cannabusiness that meets the Illinois regulations.

During her presentation, Sheri will share with you a six-phased approach to becoming operational. This phased approach will give you the framework needed to open an optimal, data-driven cannabusiness. One that will allow you to plan for scaling and beyond.

In phase one, the Business Development and Pre-Application phase, Sheri will walk you through what you must know before applying for a license. Phase two, Application for Licensing, you’ll learn what key elements you need to consider before applying for a license. Next, in the third phase, Pre-Operations Build Out, Sheri will help you understand the hundreds of decisions you’ll need to prepare for in building a state-of-the-art facility. In the fourth phase, Inspection Readiness, Sheri will talk about audits and checks-and-balances to ensure Go Live Day is a win! In phase five, Go Live Day, you can expect to walk away knowing you are moving towards your expected ROI. What now? Your cannabusiness is live! But the phases don’t end there. It’s time to optimize and ensure your operation is running at maximum speed and efficiency, which Sheri will review in phase six, Business Optimization.
