Session Abstract

Protecting your intellectual property can be the difference between success and failure. Identification and protection of your business’s IP should be a top priority for your company as it can yield enormous value. Conversely, not protecting your intellectual property can lead to lost value, competitors stealing your ideas, and costly litigation. Understanding the importance of your intellectual property is the first step.

In this presentation, Clement Hayes and Anthony Santos will walk you through what forms of intellectual property protection are available, how to protect your intellectual property, and how to create enforceable contracts. At the conclusion of the presentation you will understand what forms of intellectual property are best for different types of cannabis-related businesses, different strategies to protect your intellectual property, and how to turn your intellectual property into extra value in your business.
