Professional Summary

Micah Siegal serves as General Counsel to PG Group, LLC.  PG Group is a Lansing-based vertically integrated medical and recreational cannabis grower and retailer.  Under its umbrella, PG has final or conditional licensure for over 15,000 plants, three operating provisioning centers, and is making final preparations to open its fourth and fifth retail locations.  In addition to serving in an operations role, Siegal advises PG Group with regard to licensure, general corporate governance, and operational compliance. Siegal played a key role in obtaining local licensure for PG Group in Lansing following the city's opt-in to the Michigan Medical Marihuana Facilities Licensing Act in 2017.

In addition to his work for PG Group, Siegal maintains a solo practice counseling and advocating on behalf of other highly regulated businesses. Prior to joining PG, Siegal was General Counsel to Fuyao Glass America Inc., the U.S. affiliate of the world’s second largest automotive glass manufacturer, with four production facilities in the United States.

Siegal is a graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio where he graduated with distinction. The year following, Siegal earned an MBA from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, also with distinction. Siegal is a graduate of the Michigan State University College of Law.  He is admitted to practice law in Ohio and Michigan.

Session Abstract

In March 2020, the now-global viral pandemic began having notable and harsh effects on Michigan business and government which are still being felt. Regulated industries such as the cannabis industry are no exception. This one-hour webinar will offer participants a chance to hear perspectives on the crisis and impacts to the Michigan cannabis industry from leaders in state government and regulated business as well to submit questions to the presenters. This educational opportunity will include information on state-level regulation from the Michigan Marijuana Regulatory Agency, an update on local licensing impacts, and perspectives from a licensed medical and adult-use cannabis business with grower, processor, and retail operations.
