krispysglass – Blowing glass since 2008, scientific and artistic. Quality American Production.
I have been in the glass industry since 2008. I started out as an apprentice under a wonderful teacher in Colorado, Rone Glass. I learned many high volume production lines. For the next 2 years I worked under his wing supplying some of the biggest shops in the Denver area, as well as selling to many shops in the surrounding area.
In 2011 I moved back to Illinois to be closer to my family. Glass had to be put on the back-burner for a few months as I got settled. I then began working at a headshop in McHenry, Il, called All About It. There I was a co-founder of a small glass school that was around for a short time.
In 2012 I got a job in the scientific glass field, where I made bulbs for x-ray machines. This was a great opportunity for me to get a solid foundation. I took my paycheck from there to purchase a home and build my glass studio. I still continue to work in the functional artistic glass industry. I predominantly sell to my distributors but also sell wholesale to smoke shops around the country.
During late 2014, early 2015, I began to focus on starting a second business using my medium of glass. I saw a perfect niche in the Cannabis world that had yet to be filled. With all of the talk of new marketing techniques like social media and the diminishing ROI of typical media platforms, I saw a need. The cannabis industry has heavy restrictions to make marketing even harder then it already is for any other industry, so why not make something just for this niche. That is when I began creating the frameworks of a private label glass pipe company. Over the next six months I spent time researching the best ceramic decals available, which is how we label our glass. I then brought people together to allow us to produce the necessary quantities of pipes in short periods of time. We are an American glass company, and now have the first private label pipe company. Anytime some one uses your pipe, the ‘Light Up Your Brand!
